OpenTrain AI, Inc. is seeking a remote, part-time contractor to create, solve, review, and validate engineering tasks used to train AI systems. The work focuses on aerodynamics, CFD, and Python-based workflows that can run via command-line tools.

You will turn physical requirements into computational models and solver-ready cases, then assess stability and physical validity of results. Fluent English is required and experience with Python-based automation is essential.

Qualificações

• Graduate training in aerospace engineering, or mechanical engineering with aero specialization.
• Bachelor's degree in aerospace/mechanical engineering with 1–2 years aerospace experience.
• Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics and applied aerodynamics.
• Experience formulating and running CFD or aerodynamic analyses.
• Practical Python skills with CLI, scripting interface, or programmatic API.
• OpenFOAM, SU2, Gmsh, FEniCSx, Elmer, CalculiX, SciPy, NumPy, pandas, Matplotlib, Jupyter or similar tools.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze airfoils and aerodynamic problems.
• Create/modify geometries, domains, and meshes.
• Set initial/boundary conditions, fluid properties, and solver settings.
• Run CFD and aerodynamic analyses via command-line tools.
• Automate preprocessing, simulations, postprocessing, and validation with Python.
• Calculate lift/drag and assess physical plausibility.
• Diagnose non-convergence and invalid results.
• Explain modeling choices and trade-offs clearly.
