Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a CFBU Coordinator to lead outreach and enrollment efforts for Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, and related public benefits across CPS families and schools.

Reporting to the Program Manager, you will conduct virtual and in-person presentations, support schools in implementing systems for EEU, and collaborate with community partners to expand access to health and wellness services for CPS students and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with healthcare education, in a school setting, or with public benefits programs.
• Experience in All Kids, Medicaid, and the SNAP programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete a minimum of 25 household SNAP, Medicaid, CHIP, and TANF applications per month.
• Conduct virtual and in-person school technical assistance presentations and community-based outreach for parents and staff at all schools within an assigned network as the primary contact on Medicaid and SNAP enrollment and public benefit rights.
• Collaborate with all schools within an assigned network to ensure they have a Medicaid Designee.
• Cultivate and maintain partnerships with community-based organizations and state agencies (e.g., IDHFS, IDHS).
• Work with CFBU leaders to develop sustainable processes to support enrollment, engagement, and utilization of care improvements for OSHW.
• Respond to management requests, including hotline coverage during high call volume periods.
• Other duties as assigned.
