Job summary

Alvin Community College is seeking qualified part-time instructors to join the Continuing Education Workforce Development pool for the academic year. Instructors may be assigned to teach Patient Care Technician (PCT) courses and must adapt to program needs with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities include following official course outlines, evaluating student competencies, and maintaining safety procedures. Travel to the Alvin campus and offsite locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires flexible work schedule including days, evenings and weekends.
• Travel may be required to main campus in Alvin and offsite locations.
• Official transcripts, licenses and/or certifications must be provided within 30 days of hire.
• Non-U.S. credentials must be evaluated by NACES-affiliated agencies.

SUMMARY

This is a part-time Continuing Education Workforce Development (CEWD) instructor pool for available assignments during the academic year. Applications are considered throughout the academic year and reviewed based on departmental needs. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Requires flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include working days, evenings and/or weekends. May require travel to our main campus in Alvin and/or to various offsite locations, including local high schools in Alvin, Danbury, Manvel and Pearland and to Texas Department of Criminal Justice facilities in Richmond, Rosharon or Lake Jackson.

Requires the provision of official transcripts, licenses and/or certifications within (30) days of hire.
