Job summary

Pilot Assessments in Miami, Florida, seeks a Pilot in Command for our Cessna Caravan seaplane operations. You will plan and execute flights delivering essential parts and personnel, while adhering to FARs, GOM, OPS specs and SOPs.

Base is Kendall-Tamiami Executive Airport, with an on-call roster and per diem allowances. You will lead time-critical deliveries, greet passengers, manage baggage, ensure duty/rest compliance, maintain currency, and keep precise flight records.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • FAA First Class Medical required.
  • CPL – Commercial Single Engine Land with Instrument Rating (IFR) required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct safe, efficient flight operations for all trips while delivering customer service.
  • Lead time-critical deliveries, coordinate parts, refueling, customs, and vendor communications.
  • Greet passengers and technicians, assist with seating, baggage, and freight handling, provide briefings.
  • Maintain duty/rest compliance and ensure currency and required certificates.
  • Update flight and duty records and report maintenance discrepancies.

The Mission

As Pilot in Command (PIC) of our Cessna Caravan seaplane operations, you’ll plan and execute flights that deliver essential parts and personnel where they’re needed most. You will operate to the highest professional standard, ensuring strict adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), company Operations Specifications, the General Operations Manual (GOM), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct safe, efficient flight operations for all trip assignments while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Lead and coordinate time-critical deliveries, including parts pick-up/drop-off, refueling, customs, and vendor communications.
  • Greet passengers and technicians; assist with seating, baggage, and freight handling; provide passenger briefings when required.
  • Ensure compliance with duty time and rest requirements; maintain currency and all required certificates, licenses, and permits.
  • Maintain a current First Class Medical and proactively report any condition that may impact flight duties.
  • Accurately update flight and duty records; verify eligibility for next assignment; report maintenance discrepancies per company policy.
  • Engage in safety and quality systems: identify, report, and mitigate hazards; provide timely feedback to management.
  • Support special projects and additional duties as assigned.

  • Able to successfully complete company training and demonstrate required proficiency.
Minimum Flight Experience & Certificates
  • Medical: FAA First Class
  • License: Commercial Pilot License (CPL) – Commercial Single Engine Land with Instrument Rating
  • IFR: IFR proficiency and currency
  • Total time: 1,200 hours (minimum)
  • PIC: 500 hours
  • Cross-country: 500 hours
  • Night: 100 hours
  • Instrument: 75 hours (50 hours actual)
  • Seaplane: 100 hours
Safety, Vetting & Compliance
  • Position is classified as Safety-Sensitive under FAA regulations.
  • Pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing per FAA guidelines.
  • Comprehensive background check, including employment, education, and criminal history verification.
  • Strict adherence to Company Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, SOPs, and Policies & Procedures.
Pay & Perks
  • $110,000 annual salary
  • Per diem: $66/day domestic; $85/day international when overnight away from base

Base & Lifestyle
