Job summary

Florida Department of Health is seeking a Planning Consultant to join the Cessation Section in Tallahassee. You will coordinate cessation projects, manage special initiatives, and provide technical assistance to contracted vendors and providers for planning and implementing cessation activities.

You will network with other program offices and external partners, maintain contract files, and monitor performance while reporting on progress and trends.

Qualifications

• Willingness to come to the office to perform duties.
• Experience coordinating projects and handling multiple tasks.
• Ability to liaison with contracted vendors and providers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a team member in the Cessation Section within the Bureau of Tobacco Free Florida.
• Coordinate cessation projects and manage special projects for the Cessation section and Bureau programs.
• Provide technical assistance to vendors/providers for planning and implementing cessation activities.
• Network with program offices, government agencies, and external partners to support cessation services.
• Manage assigned projects and purchase orders; monitor contracts and vendor performance.
• Attend TAC and present updates on cessation projects as requested.
• Develop reports, presentations, and materials for cessation activities.
• Analyze cessation-related data to track trends and performance.
• Participate in training such as the Florida State University Tobacco Treatment Specialist program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
