Job summary

Florida Department of Health in Tallahassee seeks a Planning Consultant to coordinate cessation projects and manage vendor contracts for Tobacco Free Florida. The role requires establishing partnerships across programs and ensuring deliverables meet department standards.

You will prepare reports, present results, and support program evaluation while maintaining strong communication with internal teams and external partners. Prior experience with state programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage Cessation Projects and purchase orders for Tobacco and Cancer programs annually.
• Provide technical assistance to contracted vendors and providers for planning and implementing cessation projects.
• Monitor activities of vendors/recipients to ensure compliance with state standards.
• Process payments submitted by vendors on assigned projects.
• Attend TAC meetings and update attendees on cessation projects.
• Develop reports, updates, presentations and materials for cessation initiatives.
• Attend required training related to Tobacco Free Florida programs.
