Job summary

Gentell, a leading wound care company, is seeking a Wound and Product Specialist to join our Austin region team. You will travel to facility locations to assess wounds, advise on product use, and coordinate with care staff to ensure accurate documentation and treatment decisions.

The role requires a licensed healthcare professional or eligible within the first year, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have valid healthcare license (RN, LPN, PT, OTR-L, DPM or similar) or be eligible to certify within the first year.
• Exemplary customer service skills are required.
• Must be business savvy and sales-minded.
• Self-starter and able to work independently.
• Hard-working and motivated with strong attention to detail.
• Must live in the Austin area and be willing to travel daily.

Responsibilities

• Work with long-term care facilities in a designated territory to assist with wound assessments and treatment decisions.
• Monitor proper application and utilization of wound care products.
• Understand Medicare documentation and reimbursement guidelines.
• Educate facility staff on documentation that meets federal and state requirements.
• Order wound care products through internal system 'FastCare' for residents to receive products.
• Support facilities' wound care programs by tracking, documenting and understanding coverage guidelines.

We are looking for a licensed nurse, physical therapist, occupational therapist or LPN. The ideal candidate will live within the Austin area and travel to facility locations across multiple cities. Day travel and some overnights may be required including some early morning wound rounds based on facility schedules. Periodic (annual at minimum) corporate training may involve flight travel and hotel stays. Travel arrangements are made and paid for through our travel management system, with reimbursement of incidental expenses.

We provide full PPE for each of our employees who are conducting facility visits. We also provide tools for telehealth for those facilities that need to be serviced remotely.

Requirements

The ideal Wound and Product Specialist:
