Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical welding certificate or equivalent training preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding procedures.
• AWS-CWI certification preferred or ability to become certified.
• Experience with bench, MIG and TIG welding (aluminum and steel).

Responsibilities

• Set-up weld equipment and maintain the weld training area.
• Assist HR and supervision in pre-employment weld evaluations.
• Train and guide new welding hires.
• Explain and demonstrate welding procedures used at Pierce.
• Evaluate weld test pieces fairly and document results.
• Maintain weld training and testing records.
• Support troubleshooting of weld equipment and processes.
