Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Student Welder to interpret blueprints and materials, and perform bench, MIG, and TIG welding on aluminum and steel. You will set up welds, grind seams, and ensure safe, clean operations in a hands-on fabrication environment.

The role requires enrollment in a related technical program and preferred experience with welding on steel and aluminum, plus ability to read blueprints and operate small tools.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MIG welding on steel and aluminum is preferred.
• Currently enrolled in technical school related to welding or fabrication.
• Ability to read blueprints and use basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and assemble components for welding.
• Set up machine for welding.
• Weld aluminum components (bench, MIG, TIG).
• Weld steel components (bench, MIG, TIG).
• Grind welds.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures and rules.
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Regular attendance required.
• Other duties as assigned.
