Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking an AWS (CWI) Welding Inspector for a manufacturing facility in Dyersburg, TN. The role covers first and second shifts, focusing on continuous inspection and documentation to ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 and our quality requirements.

You will oversee cutting, punching, shearing, stamping, notching, welding and painting, with a GMAW Spray Transfer process in use. Daily duties include floor and weld inspections, review of WPSs and PQRs, maintaining WQRs and inspection

Qualifications

• AWS CWI or AWI certification required; please submit certification number with application.
• Minimum 5 years welding experience.
• Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily floor and weld inspections, including part fit-up and visual inspection.
• Review WPSs & PQRs to ensure compliance with AWS D1.1.
• Prepare and maintain Welder Qualification Records (WQRs), PQRs, WPSs, and inspection records.
• Monitor welder qualifications and maintain controlled processes and specifications.
• Verify welding equipment functionality and documentation daily.
• Interpret fabrication drawings and apply to inspection activities.
• Support and maintain the established Quality Assurance Manual.
• Travel occasionally by car or plane as required.

AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) is needed for a manufacturing facility specializing in structural racking systems. This role involves continuous inspection and documentation of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 standards and company quality requirements.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code.
• Background in manufacturing and welding processes preferred.
• Strong documentation, inspection, and quality assurance skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Additional Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of welding experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent (required; post-secondary preferred).
• Strong penmanship and attention to detail.
• Computer skills, including MS Office tools.
• Willingness to travel as required and ability to maintain a personal credit card for expenses.
• Knowledge of inspection tools and equipment.
• Clean driving record (must be willing to sign waiver for verification).
• Strong organizational skills; self-driven and motivated.

• Second Shift: 4:30 PM 3:00 AM (MonThurs)
