Job summary

Mission Pet Health seeks a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join Atlantic Animal Hospital & Pet Care Resort in Wilmington, NC. You will join a team of five DVMs and support high standard AAHA-accredited care across surgery, anesthesia, diagnostics, and patient care.

You’ll administer treatments, monitor anesthesia, and perform lab work while mentoring teammates and educating clients. The role emphasizes collaboration, ongoing growth, and a strong hospital culture within a nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
• A current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
• Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
• Calm and efficient approach in fast-paced situations.
• Strong communication and collaborative work.
• One year of experience in veterinary industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work.
• Lead and mentor the medical team, ensuring efficient workflow and growth.
• Partner with clients: educate on treatments, review medical records, answer questions.
• Contribute to a positive culture: training, feedback, and maintaining high hospital standards.
