The Sound Cat Veterinary Hospital in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our feline-focused practice. The ideal candidate has surgery experience in soft tissue and dentistry, can support veterinarians with anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and labs, and is available on weekends.

Qualifications

• Must hold state license to work as a veterinary technician.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds; assist with heavier lifting as needed.
• Good communication with clients and team; safe handling of patients.

Responsabilités

• Assist veterinarians in exams and surgeries; support procedures.
• Take histories, vital signs, weights; provide client education.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor during procedures.
• Collect samples and perform in-house lab tests; prepare specimens for outside labs.
• Take and maintain radiographs following safety procedures.
• Handle and restrain animals as needed; monitor anesthesia and medications.
• Clean and restock exam rooms; ensure equipment is maintained.
• Demonstrate warmth and professionalism with clients and patients.
