We are looking for a certified Veterinary Technician to join our small team at our rural, privately owned practice. This is a full-time position of 40 hours a week.

We are a team of about 10 on a daily basis. We work closely together and are looking for another team member who has initiative and a drive to provide good medicine for our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Safely handling dogs and cats for exams
  • Filling prescriptions
  • Facilitating Doctor/Client communication and care during appointments (preparing vaccines and filling preventatives)
  • Radiology, phlebotomy, running lab work
  • Helping with reception as needed
  • Anesthesia, dentistry, surgical monitoring and assisting
  • Kenneled dogs
  • Daily hospital cleaning like laundry or mopping floors
Qualifications

  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology, sterility, and care practices, preventatives and vaccines
  • Associates degree, CVT, or equivalent
