Job Title: Certified Veterinary Technician

Position: Full-Time

About Us: Marshall Pet Care Clinic, a family-owned and operated practice, has been serving the Dane County community since 2003. With four locations and a reputation for excellence, we are dedicated to providing top-quality veterinary care in a warm, friendly, and collaborative environment. Our clinics are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including digital radiology, ultrasound, a fully stocked pharmacy, and advanced surgical monitoring equipment. We are committed to the professional growth of our team members and offer a supportive environment where you can thrive.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work alongside our veterinarians to provide exceptional care to our patients, assist in a variety of medical procedures, and ensure that our clinic operates smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
  • Perform routine laboratory tests, including bloodwork and urinalysis
  • Take digital radiographs, including dental radiographs
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring
  • Provide compassionate care and education to clients regarding their pets’ health and wellness
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
  • Ensure the clinic is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times
  • Support the team in maintaining a collaborative and positive work environment

Qualifications:

  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) license in the state of Wisconsin, or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, radiology, laboratory procedures, and client communication
  • Compassionate and patient-oriented with a strong focus on client education
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to working as part of a team
  • Experience with Cornerstone practice management software is a plus, but not required
