Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for ultrasound exam and positions patient per SOPs.
• Obtains imaging and diagnostic reports for correlation and consults with referring physician.
• Sets up equipment and uses machine settings to ensure accurate results.
• Recognizes structures and differentiates artifacts from pathology; may determine need for further evaluation.
• Monitors patient during exam and reports changes in condition.
• Documents image details and maintains logs of exams performed.
• Performs minor repairs/calibration checks and troubleshoots equipment as needed.
