Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a part-time Surgical Technologist to join the OR team. The position offers a rotating shift with no weekend call and opportunities for growth within a mission-driven environment.

You will set up sterile fields, pass instruments, perform counts, and prepare instruments for sterilization while supporting surgeons and nurses to deliver excellent patient care. Requires formal training and NBSTA certification within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Formal training as a Surgical Technologist.
• NBSTA Certification must be obtained within 1 year of program completion.
• High School Diploma.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• 2 years of surgical tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain sterile fields for surgery.
• Pass instruments, anticipate surgeon needs, and handle specimens.
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
• Clean OR post-procedure and prepare tools for sterilization.

Position Summary:
