Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support surgeons and nurses in the operating room at Saint Joseph Health System. You will prepare sterile instruments, maintain a safe environment, and ensure readiness for procedures.

Requirements include formal training as a Surgical Technologist, NBSTA certification within a year, a high school diploma, and CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days). Prior OR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Formal training as a Surgical Technologist.
• NBSTA Certification must be obtained within 1 year of program completion.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain sterile fields for surgery.
• Pass instruments, anticipate surgeon needs, and handle specimens.
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
• Clean OR post-procedure and prepare tools for sterilization.

Position Summary:
