Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team at Mishawaka Medical Center. You will prepare sterile instruments, maintain a safe environment, and ensure readiness for procedures in an evening, 12-hour shift.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited surgical tech training program.
• NBSTSA certification must be obtained within 1 year of program completion.
• High School Diploma required.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• 2 years of surgical tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain sterile fields for surgery.
• Pass instruments, anticipate surgeon needs, and handle specimens.
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
• Clean OR post-procedure and prepare tools for sterilization.

Position Summary:

As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a key role in the operating room, supporting surgeons and nurses in delivering exceptional care. You'll prepare sterile instruments, maintain a safe environment, and ensure everything is ready for successful procedures.
