Job Summary and Qualifications

Provides direct and indirect nursing services to the surgical patient under the supervision of the professional nurse, performing tasks necessary for the functioning of the Surgical Services Unit according to standards and policies of Operating Room care.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Graduate of an accredited Vocational School.
• Certified Surgical Technician (CST), Certified Operating Room Technician, or Technician in Surgery (NCCT).
• 1+ year experience in an acute OR setting.
