Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health - Lourdes Hospital in Kentucky is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support the operative team. You will prepare sterile instruments, supplies and equipment, maintain aseptic technique, and assist with pre/post procedure tasks in a fast-paced OR setting.

Required education is an Associates/Vocational/Military certificate in Surgical Technology, with CST/NCCT/NBSTA or TS-C certification. BLS is preferred; 1 year perioperative experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology is required.
• Must be certified CST/NBSTA/TS-C or NCCT per listing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association preferred.
• One year perioperative or related military surgical technology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instrument for the procedure.
• Provides complete case preparation with adaptation of special instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.
