Job summary

Mercy Health at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team by preparing sterile instruments and supplies and maintaining aseptic technique. The role requires an Associate Degree in Surgical Technology and national certification (CST/NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT).

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Surgical Technology (required).
• Must be certified by CST, NBSTA/TS-C or NCCT.
• BLS preferred; Virginia CST if residing in VA.
• One year perioperative or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for the procedure.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Performs skin prep and clipping as indicated by the procedure.
