Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Las Colinas in Irving, TX is seeking a qualified Certified Surgical Technologist to join its operating room team. You will scrub for a variety of procedures under RN supervision and contribute to maintaining a sterile, efficient surgical environment.

Relevant candidates have education in OR technology, BLS certification, and OR experience; willingness to be on call and work with cross-functional staff is essential for delivering outstanding patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in OR Technology (C-SA or C-ST) required; BLS required.
• Previous OR clinical experience preferred (pre-2009 experience noted).

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical scrub for minor and major procedures under RN supervision.
• Set up and maintain a sterile field for procedures.
• Handle instruments, equipment and supplies used in the OR.
• Organize instruments and supplies for efficient access.
• Participate in rotational on-call system as needed.
• Adhere to sterile technique guidelines and restock supplies as caseload permits.
• Identify and correct errors to improve quality.
