Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• Certification in OR Technology (C-SA or C-ST) required; BLS required.
• Prior verifiable experience as a scrub technician in OR prior to 2009.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
• Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures for OR settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical scrub on all types of procedures under supervision.
• Set up and maintain a sterile field for surgeries.
• Utilize instruments, equipment, and supplies in the Operating Room.
• Organize instruments and supplies for quick access and efficiency.
• Participate in rotational call system to ensure service availability.
• Restock OR supplies as caseload permits; monitor for errors and correct.
