Qualifikationen

• Surgical Technologist certification from NBSTSA/NCCT/AAHA is required.
• Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year scrub experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Uses aseptic technique in sterile or unsterile OR roles.
• Assists circulating RN to maintain sterile field.
• Counts sponges, instruments, and needles with circulating RN.
• Gowns and gloved surgeons; positions equipment and instruments.
• Passes sterile instruments to the surgical team during procedures.
• Operates specialty equipment after training.
• Transports and positions patients as needed.
• Prepares supplies and equipment per preference cards; performs checks.
• Assists with sterilization and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
• Monitors inventory and restocks supplies and instruments.
• Removes outdated items and reprocesses per guidelines.
• Assists with department cleaning duties.
• Assists with clerical tasks and data gathering for events.
