Job summary

Grand Strand Medical Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to assist in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients. The role includes scrub duties, maintaining supplies, and assisting with emergency and scheduled procedures.

You will help in preparation, transportation and supervision of patients, ensuring adherence to standards and policies of our Surgical Services department. This position requires BCLS within 30 days and NBSTSA certification.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Education: Graduate of a School of Surgical Technology.
• Certified as a Certified Surgical Technician through The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).

Responsibilities

• Assist in Nursing Care and preparation of the surgical patient.
• Performs scrub duties and related procedures.
• Assists in preparation, transportation and supervision of patients.
