Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Surgical Tech with operating room experience to support patient care in the surgical setting. The role requires completion of a surgical technology program or equivalent and maintaining BLS certification.

Responsibilities include ensuring proper exposure of the surgical field, coordination with care teams, and preserving patient rights and confidentiality. Preferred candidates have two years of OR experience and CST-related certifications as part of Mercy’s standards for

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Surgical Technology experience or Graduate with a Degree in Surgical Technology or completion certificate.
• Maintain BLS certification.

Position Details

Required Education: HS Diploma or GED.

Required Licensure: Surgical Technology experience or Graduate with a Degree in Surgical Technology or completion certificate.

Required Other: Maintain BLS certification.

Preferred Education

Preferred Licensure: Certification from an accredited surgical technology program preferred.

Required Experience: of two years in the Operating Room.

Required Certifications

Certified Surgical First Assistant, Certified Surgical Assistant, or Surgical Assistant - Certified required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Preferred Experience

Preferred Certifications: CST.
