Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Surgical Technologist for Methodist Hospital Landmark in the San Antonio area. The role supports surgical teams by preparing sterile supplies, maintaining sterile fields, and anticipating the needs of the surgeon during procedures.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, and surgical technologist certification (CST or TS-C) with HB 643 compliance. Experience may be substituted in some cases per policy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a surgical technologist program; or prior hire before 9/1/2009 may substitute with 1 year hospital experience as a surgical technologist.
• Certification required per Texas HB 643: CST or TS-C Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of quality surgical care by planning and anticipating the surgeon's needs.
• Gather and prepare sterile supplies and equipment; maintain sterile field.
• Assist the surgeon by supplying sterile instruments and supplies to the sterile field.
• Perform routine scrub role and department-specific duties; follow AORN and regulatory standards.
