Job summary

A regional healthcare provider in San Antonio seeks a full-time Surgical Technologist to assist in pre-operative patient care and maintain the sterile field during surgeries. Candidates must have a high school diploma, complete a Surgical Technology program, and BLS certification. Experience in a surgical environment is preferred, and a Certified Surgical Technologist credential must be obtained within 180 days of hire. The role operates on a full-time schedule from 10 AM to 7 PM.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 or more years of experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN License required within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients.
• Prepare patient skin for surgery while maintaining aseptic techniques.
• Transport patients to and from the Operating Room suite.
• Ensure preference cards are up to date and complete.
• Maintain a safe environment by implementing aseptic practices.
