Job summary

SSM Health is seeking an OR Technician at WI-St. Agnes Hospital to support the operating room under RN supervision. You will set up the OR, gather supplies and instruments for cases, and assist during procedures while communicating with the RN about patients.

Graduate of a technical program for operating room technicians; no experience required. Must maintain aseptic technique, precise documentation, and be able to work a Day shift in a fast-paced surgical center.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a technical program for operating room technicians.
• No experience required.
• BLS HCP and CST/NCCT NCCT NRST certifications or equivalents required.

Responsibilities

• Practices and implements the technical components of patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Collaborates with the RN and other healthcare professionals to implement the plan of care.
• Prepares equipment, supply and resource needs based on an individualized plan of care.
• Communicates accurate and timely information to the Registered Nurse regarding patients.
• Demonstrates knowledge to operate surgical equipment with aseptic technique.
• Follows laboratory policy and procedure to correctly handle and label all laboratory specimens.
• Documents quality controls and maintains organized work environment.
