Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team in Wisconsin. The role includes preparing and maintaining sterile fields, passing instruments, and assisting surgeons as needed.

The position requires flexibility for 5×8 hour shifts, with rotating call obligations including nights, weekends, and holidays. No experience is required, and BLS certification is part of the standard requirements.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
• No experience required.
• Knowledge of aseptic surgical techniques and operating room equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean, safe operating area and adheres to aseptic techniques during procedures.
• Assists in gowning, gloving, positioning, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.
• Sets up OR for each case and handles equipment and supplies before, during, and after procedures.
• Functions as Second Assistant as needed and notifies staff of equipment issues.
• Transports patients and equipment as required and ensures availability of supplies/ carts.
