SSM Health's St. Mary's Hospital in Janesville is seeking an OR technician to support the operating room under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The role sets up the OR, gathers supplies and instruments for cases, and assists during procedures.

No prior experience is required; graduates of a technical OR program are eligible. The position offers a regular 40-hour week, day shifts, and call coverage. Relocation assistance and a sign-on bonus may be available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a technical program for operating room technicians.

Responsabilités

• Practices and implements the technical components of patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Collaborates with the RN and other healthcare professionals to implement a plan of care.
• Prepares equipment, supply and resource needs based on an individualized plan of care.
• Communicates accurate and timely information to the Registered Nurse regarding patients.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to perform all aspects of a variety of surgical procedures and operate all surgical equipment.
• Follows laboratory policy and procedure to handle and label specimens.
• Documents quality controls according to unit standards.
• Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and team building; serves as a resource to others.
• Organizes time efficiently and maintains an orderly work environment.
