Responsibilities

• Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
• Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions for procedures.
• Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to incision.
• Passes instruments and supplies to surgeon during procedures.
• Maintains sterile technique during procedures.
• Prepares sterile dressings and cleans instruments for terminal sterilization.
• Assists with terminal cleaning of the room and prepping for next patient.
