Job summary

Ascension Health in Wichita, KS seeks a Surgical Technician to support the operating room in the Surgery IP department. You will prepare sterile instrumentation, hand instruments to the surgeon, and assist with patient positioning and draping to ensure safe, efficient procedures.

The role requires BLS within 30 days, and a CST/AST/NBSTSA/NCCT credential, plus a high school diploma or higher. Sign-on bonus offered up to $5,000.00 as part of the package.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire date or transfer date.
• Surgical Tech credentialed from AST/NBSTSA/NCCT prior to hire date.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate/technical degree or 4 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares operating suite with sterile drapes, instruments and supplies.
• Hands required instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Maintains instrument counts and organization throughout procedures.
