Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN, is hiring a Surgical Tech for a days, full-time schedule in the Main Operating Room. You will support surgeons as a trusted partner, ensuring instruments and supplies are prepared ahead of requests and maintaining sterile technique throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• Maintain 100% accuracy in instrument and sponge counts to safeguard patient safety from incision to closure.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Per Tennessee Code (TCA) 68-57-101(a), non-certified applicants must have 18 months of surgical technologist experience in the 3 years preceding 5/21/07; or began the appropriate surgical technologist training prior to 5/21/07 and completed by 5/21/10.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
