Community Health Systems, Inc. seeks a Surgical Technician – Certified to join the operating room team in Naples, FL. The role prepares sterile fields, anticipates surgeon needs, and maintains instrument readiness to support safe, high‑quality patient care.

You will assist with positioning, draping, and documentation under RN supervision. Requirements include CST and BLS, a surgical technology credential or associate degree, and 0–2 years OR experience.

Qualifications

• Technical school or associate degree in relevant surgical fields.
• Zero to two years of operating room experience preferred.
• CST and BLS certifications required.

Responsabilités

• Prepares the OR with instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
• Maintains a sterile field and follows aseptic techniques.
• Anticipates surgeon needs and passes instruments accurately during surgery.
• Handles instruments per policy, including sterilization and inspection.
• Counts sponges, needles, and instruments with the circulating nurse.
• Assists with patient positioning, draping, and transfers as directed.
• Maintains and updates physician preference cards and documentation.
• Restocks supplies and prepares rooms for subsequent cases.
