Job summary

CHS Career Site seeks a Certified Surgical Technician to assist the operating room team in delivering safe patient care. You will prepare sterile fields, anticipate team needs, and ensure proper handling of instruments and supplies during procedures.

The role requires CST or equivalent, BLS, and up to 2 years OR experience, with a focus on infection control and efficient OR turnover. Full-time position in Naples, FL with comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field and apply universal precautions throughout surgery.
• Assist surgeon by passing instruments and supplies accurately and efficiently.
• Handle instruments per manufacturer and policy requirements, including cleaning and sterilization.
• Document counts with the circulating nurse to support patient safety.
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and transfer under RN direction.
• Maintain physician preference cards and procedural documents.
• Restock supplies, clean and return equipment, and prep rooms for next cases.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain reliable attendance.
