Job summary

AdventHealth in Littleton, CO is seeking a Surgical Tech for PRN, day shift coverage. The role involves assisting with pre-operative care, instrument handling, and maintaining sterile operating room conditions across flexible shifts.

Qualified candidates have CST certification, CPR, and 2+ years of technical experience, with potential for extension or permanent placement within AdventHealth facilities.

Qualifications

• Technical/Vocational school education required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• State Certified Surgical Technologist CST required and NBSTSA CST or TS-C (NCCT) certification required.
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) preferred.
• 2+ years of technical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides patients with supportive care during pre-operative phases.
• Collects and labels specimens obtained during surgical procedures.
• Conducts instrument counts prior to surgical procedures.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Conducts field preparation and maintenance.
• Ensures the operating room is sterile.
• Monitors and tracks instrument counts throughout procedures.
• Maintains surgical instruments in an organized manner.
• Assists the team with safe and efficient operating room turnover times.
• Other duties as assigned.
