Job summary

AdventHealth in Parker, Colorado seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist for PRN day shifts. The role supports pre-operative care, specimen handling, instrument counts, and OR turnover in a fast-paced surgical setting.

The position requires a technical/vocational education and at least 2 years of technical experience, with CST certifications and BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred. Flexible contract options and potential for permanent staff conversion are noted.

Responsibilities

• Provides patients with supportive care during pre-operative phases
• Collects and labels specimens obtained during surgical procedures
• Conducts instrument counts prior to surgical procedures
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients
• Conducts field preparation and maintenance
• Ensures the operating room is sterile
• Monitors and tracks instrument counts throughout procedures
• Maintains surgical instruments in an organized manner
• Assists the team with safe and efficient operating room turnover times
• Other duties as assigned

Schedule

PRN Shift: Day (United States of America)

Schedule: 40 hours per week; 06:45-17:15 shift, 4x10 hours a week, Call 6-8 shifts in 6-week schedule, 30 min response time for call

Pay

Pay: $68.60/hr

Pay Range: $15.00 - $130.00
