Job summary

AdventHealth seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team in Parker, Colorado. The role focuses on sterilization, instrument handling, and assisting the surgical team to maintain a safe, efficient operating room environment.

Requirements include 2+ years of technical surgical experience and CST certification; ACLS/PALS are a plus. This position offers a flexible contract and potential for permanent staff conversion within AdventHealth facilities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of technical experience in surgical settings.
• State Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NBSTSA CST certification required/alternative TS-C license as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients with supportive care during pre-operative phases.
• Assist with setting up, preparing, and maintaining sterile instruments.
• Conduct instrument counts and ensure operating room readiness.
• Assist in patient positioning and draping during procedures.
• Support team to maintain clean, organized OR turnover times.

Schedule

40 hours per week; 06:45-17:15 shift, 4x10 hours a week, Call 6-8 shifts in 6-week schedule, 30 min response time for call

Pay

$68.60/hr

• Collects and labels specimens obtained during surgical procedures.


• Conducts instrument counts prior to surgical procedures.


• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.


• Conducts field preparation and maintenance.


• Ensures the operating room is sterile.


• Monitors and tracks instrument counts throughout procedures.


• Maintains surgical instruments in an organized manner.


• Assists the team with safe and efficient operating room turnover times.


• Other duties as assigned.
