Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to assist in procedures and ensure the availability and proper handling of equipment for surgical cases. The role supports RN-led operations and requires adherence to safety and infection control standards.

Required: high school diploma or equivalent and formal surgical technology certification; preferred one year of related experience and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Requires High school diploma or equivalent and graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.
• Certification in Surgical Technology required; BLS from American Heart Association preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist during procedures and direct patient care under the RN.
• Support daily department operations and equipment readiness.
• Maintain clinical knowledge, technical skills, equipment, and credentials.
• Adapt to changes in a positive, constructive manner.
• Ensure endoscopes are cleaned and disinfected following QC measures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
