Job summary

Montefiore Nyack Hospital in Nyack, NY, is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support both Labor & Delivery and the Obstetric Operating Room. You will assist with patient care and surgical preparation under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring safe procedures and aseptic practice.

The role requires 1-2 years of OR experience or OB patient care, and CST certification is required at hire; BLS is preferred. The position offers day shifts with a rotating schedule and 40-hour pay period.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of operating room experience preferred.
• Labor & Delivery experience in OB settings preferred.
• Certified Surgical Technologist – National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association upon hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operating room during surgical procedures.
• Prepare, maintain, and sterilize supplies and equipment for obstetric procedures.
• Support patient care activities under RN supervision.
• Maintain infection control and aseptic technique.
• Coordinate with nurses and physicians for sponge counts and specimen handling.
