Montefiore Nyack Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technician to support care in the Operating Room and Labor & Delivery areas. Under RN supervision, you will perform technical and routine tasks to facilitate patient care during obstetric procedures.

The role requires sterile technique, instrument readiness, and collaboration with nurses and physicians in a fast-paced hospital environment. Day shift, with rotating schedule and hourly pay rates.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist with NBSTA credential.
• 1-2 years OR/Labor & Delivery experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

Responsabilités

• Assists in patient care in Operating Room and Labor & Delivery.
• Maintains sterile technique and prepares instruments for procedures.
• Documents sponge counts and specimen transfers to ensure continuity of care.
• Supports RN and surgeons during obstetric procedures and intraoperative tasks.
