Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York, is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the OR nursing team. The role supports high-quality patient care by scrubbing for and assisting in diverse surgical procedures, and by providing necessary instrumentation and supplies under RN direction.

Qualifications include CST certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of an accredited program; an associate’s degree is preferred. Evening shifts, with variable days, are available.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Successful completion of a nationally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologists or equivalent military training.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for and assist in various types of surgical procedures.
• Provide instrumentation, supplies and equipment for operations.
• Assist in nursing care activities under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
