Methodist Richardson Medical Center in Richardson, TX is seeking a Surgical Technician II CST to join a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team. You will ensure instrument readiness, anticipate surgeon needs, and assist during procedures to support safe, efficient patient care.

The role requires CST certification, BLS, and a diploma or equivalent; experience with multiple specialties is valued. You will participate in setup, turnover, and sterilization, contributing to high-quality surgical services.

Competenze

CST certification is required.
BLS certification required.
High school diploma or GED is required.
CST credential is required.
Advanced competencies in at least 3 specialties are required.

Mansioni

Anticipate needs of the surgical team and obtain instrumentation and supplies for the procedure.
Pass instruments to surgeon and assistant during the procedure.
Assist with terminal cleaning of the room and preparation for the next case.
Begin cleaning up back table and preparing instruments for terminal cleaning and sterilization as circulator prepares the patient to leave.
Place instruments back in the tray for transport to SPD.
Know and adhere to all policies such as count policy, universal protocol, and labeling of medications.
Work with students and junior staff on correct method for passing and retrieving instruments during procedures.
