Job summary

Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, TX seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist II to support the operating room in day shift. The CST II prepares sterile supplies, maintains sterile fields, passes instruments, and supervises junior staff during surgeries to safeguard patient care.

Candidate must have CST accreditation, current BLS, and experience across General Surgery, Urology, Eyes, Gynecology, and Orthopedic procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Certified Surgical Tech accredited program.
• CST Certification upon hire required.
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Experience scrubbing multiple surgical specialties (General, Urology, Eyes, Gynecology, Hand, Spine, Sports Medicine, Orthopedic).

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and instruments for each procedure.
• Maintain sterile field during cases and assist surgeon with instruments.
• Serve as primary scrub tech and assist as camera or retractor holder as needed.
