Job summary

Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech First Assist to support surgeons and nurses in the operating room. You will prepare the operating room, assemble routine supplies, maintain sterility, and assist with instrument handling under policy guidelines.

The role requires a one-year Surgical Technologist experience, appropriate certifications, and readiness to work in a fast-paced surgical team environment. Competitive pay and benefits accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or Vocational Certification in Surgical Technology required.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred; CST/ NBSTA/ TS-C/ NCCT certification required.
• One year of experience as a Surgical Technologist required.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist surgeon during procedures; assemble supplies and equipment.
• Maintain sterile field and assist with aseptic technique.
• Perform surgical counts with circulating RN and prep operating room.
• Prepare specimens and label accurately for analysis.
• Provide instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures.
