Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network in Ohio is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support scrubbing and instrument setup during operative cases. You will assist with instruments, supplies, and equipment, maintain aseptic technique, and ensure safe, efficient case flow under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and the surgeon.

Candidates should have completed education in surgical technology and be prepared to obtain certification within six months.

Qualifications

• Education in surgical technology or related training enabling certification.
• Certification to be obtained within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Check daily assignment and review surgical preference lists for case planning.
• Prepare sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures.
• Ensure all items are available and communicate shortages to surgeon as needed.
• Assist with patient transfer and postoperative care as directed by RN and surgeon.
• Promote aseptic technique, safety, and teamwork throughout cases.
