Job summary

Utah Surgical Center in West Valley City, Utah seeks a Certified Surgical Tech to assist with safe, effective care in the OR under RN direction. You will scrub, prepare the operative field, and participate in room turnover while ensuring asepsis and accurate data recording.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program, Surgical Tech Certification, 1 year OR experience (prefer ambulatory centers), and a valid BCLS certification at employment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program; state regulatory requirement applicable
• Surgical Tech Certification
• One year experience in an operating room setting (preferably ambulatory surgery center)
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment; online certification not acceptable

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient care and observation in the OR under RN supervision
• Scrub and assist the surgeon at the operative field and maintain asepsis
• Turnover operating rooms between cases and manage instruments, sponges, and supplies
• Prepare procedure rooms for next day use and report shortages to supervision
• Document pertinent clinical data in the medical record and support clinical decisions
