Ardent Health Services is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech for day shift, full-time placement in Quitman, TX. The role supports the surgical team by maintaining sterile technique and assisting in procedures to ensure patient safety and efficient operations.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or equivalent, graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program, and possess current certification from NBSTSA or NCCT (or DSHS-approved).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Current certification with one of NBSTSA, NCCT, or a DSHS-approved program.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Functions as primary scrub technologist for a variety of procedures and maintains sterile field with aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

Functions as primary scrub technologist for a variety of routine and complex procedures, while consistently demonstrating clinical skills with confidence and competence. Individual is responsible for ensuring, along with other surgical team members, that they maintain the sterile field, applying aseptic technique principles to ensure a safe, aseptic, and cost-effective environment to all patients that clearly spells quality and excellence.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Current certification with one of the following:
  • The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
  • The National Center for Competency Testing.
  • Another surgical technologist certification program approved by the Texas Department of State Health Service within 90 days of graduation from accredited surgical technology program.

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Operating Room experience.
