Ardent Health Services in Tyler, Texas is seeking a day shift, full-time Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) Surgical Tech (CST) to support the operating room team.

As primary scrub technologist, you will maintain sterile fields, apply aseptic technique, and assist with routine and complex cardiovascular procedures, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high-quality patient care.

A commitment to teamwork, attention to detail, and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Current certification with NBSTSA or equivalent CST program approved by Texas Department of State Health Services within 90 days of graduation.

Responsibilities

Functions as primary scrub technologist for a variety of routine and complex procedures, whileconsistently demonstrating clinical skills with confidence and competence. Individual is responsible for ensuring, along with other surgical team members, that they maintain the sterile field, applying aseptic technique principles to ensure a safe, aseptic, and cost-effective environment to all patientsthat clearly spells quality and excellence.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Current certification with one of the following:
  • The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, the National Center for Competency Testing or another surgical technologist certification program approved by the Texas Department of State Health Service within 90 days of graduation from accredited surgical technology program.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Operating Room experience.
